A very substantial, one-off piece made from a large fine-grained & sturdy greywacke (onewa) beach stone with inlaid
paua cabochon eyes - these produce a light catching effect that cannot be captured in photos. Tactile matt finish. Durable hand braided nylon cord will be
finished to buyer's preferred length with a shell or stone toggle.
This contemporary interpretation of traditional hei-tiki and tekoteko forms has very bold depth and detailing - check out the "dragon scale" motif on the
chest. This piece has HUGE presence!
